Angel Food menu for December 2009

Well the new menu is up. Here it is only the fifth. Yes it is a little early. I am not complaining. Only two meats are process they are fish sticks and chicken tenders. Both my family likes. Also there is a pork roast and we haven't seen one for a while. The ham steaks are back also. For that I am happy. This time the steaks (New York Strip) are four for eight ounces. More even for the family.

Boy, if you take a sig box and the holiday fruit box, that's a LOT of apples!  I was considering getting the special fruit box and breaking it down for some gift baskets, but I think I can get a little more variety buying Aldi's fruit and packaging it up nice myself....Liz.

I need to think through November before jumping onto December, lol.

It looks ok though. A bit heavy on the processed side but that's not unusual.

December does look good and I loved the chicken tenders so yeah, I just wish they did not have the Lima beans again.  I will probably get the signature, and then the assorted meat grill box, The poultry box and the veggie and produce box.  I am excited to see the poultry box and even more excited that it is not breaded.  I don't think I am going to get the holiday fruit basket.  I am the only one who will eat the citrus.

At least there are 4 steaks this month instead of 3 like October and November. Two or three years ago I ordered the Christmas meat & cheese and ended up with some pepper jack cheese as a sub that we just don't eat. Didn't even have anyone to gift it to.

I think I'll just get one Signature box for December. Some of the produce items don't appeal to me.

For the Lima Beans I am trying this with some: http://www.sugoodsweets.com/blog/2006/09/bean-brownies/ (the link wasn't working for me when I tried to get to it this time.

I will let you know how they are.

I just tried the chicken nuggets from October's box and they are great! Looking forward to having them again in December.

I am looking at the menu and liking it. How much I order depends on how much room I have in the freezers and money when I go.
