I'm first to post?!

Feels like i had a nap, then got up for some new Celestial Seasons Sugar Plum Spice tea! Yum!

I have not stretched in awhile, I have charged. Dave Ramsey will be making me peel off his bumper sticker from my car very soon I am sure. I have been out of cash since dh and ds left for Peru mid Oct.; they came back Sat night PTL! Dhs first paycheck will be this Friday, and i am borrowing $300 from ds to make the mortage by the 10th so no late fees, then paying him back on the 13th. We will be out of money for awhile yet. I no longer panic like I used to, now I am just bummed terribly.

But I have decided it is best to owe the credit card than to take charity - esp. from someone like our Pastor, who infuriated me so bad Sunday I am requesting to quit doing the bulletins and other clerk duties by Dec. 1st. I DON"T even want to go into what happened.

Michelle, I'm so sorry to hear how bummed you are.  Perhaps the holidays can bring in some of its annual spirit and cheerfulness for you and yours.

Well, I set the alarm for 6:00, but was awake at 5:00.  DD will be up shortly and I can determine if she is returning to school.  She ended up at the dr yesterday with a left ear infection, so it's antibiotics for 10 days, 7 more days of inhalers, and 2 more days of pink eye antibiotics.  If she goes to school, great.  If not, I will just leave the house at 8:30 for my my 10:00 interview.  (Wish me luck!)  This gives me an extra 25 minutes, but I don't know what the traffic will be like so this is best for right now.

DD's appt meant it was not a stretchy day for us.  After the appt. it was past lunchtime and we needed the meds so we went to Walmart for a $4 prescription and ate lunch at Subway while we were there.  I also grabbed Head & Shoulders (DH's request, but benefits us both) and some 1/2 priced halloween decorations for next year.  $40 for lunch, meds and the other stuff plus dr's visit fees.

Today there will be extra gas $ out and possibly lunch on the way home, but that's it.  I need to get to the bank and put the support check in the account.  Should be time this afternoon for that and stopping by the post office.  We had a choice of salmon or breakfast for dinner and DH chose breakfast for dinner even though he knows we will have the salmon tomorrow night.  Going to do turkey bacon or sausage, scrambled eggs, and pancakes.

Today should be nice and stretchy.  Brought coffee, breakfast and lunch to work.  We'll be having dirty rice, cornbread & salad for dinner.  Only gas to/from work it looks like.  DH and I have some movies downloaded to watch tonight.  A friend had burned a copy of Paranormal Activity that we finally finished watching last night.  I wasn't impressed at all but I guess in a theater it might be slightly frightening?  Maybe I'm just desensitized lol.

Michelle, sorry about your pastor. I know this isn't a new issue but sorry it is ongoing. I'm happy your DH and DS made it safely home!

Today, trying to be very stretchy. Brought coffee, juice, yogurt and fruit to work. Just paid $2000 in bills last night via check and online banking. The bulk of our bills are due in the 1st 10 days of the month (daycare, mortgage, electric, phone/cable/internet, insurance, garbage service). DH is getting a refund on some items he returned to Lowe's so I am holding off on the credit card bill to see if it posts. Then we can pay it online and be done with that. It was the boys' swing set for their joint birthday present. DH got it built and when he opened up the last box, all the swings, handles, chains, etc. were inside so he can return the 2 swings, 4 chains and 2 handles for the slide we bought separately. yay! Sending in request for flex spending money. With my OB appts, the boys' flu, meds and OTC drugs, I had quite a stack of copays and bills to claim. Should get over $200 back in the next 10 days which will be gas and grocery money. I have a check from my dad to deposit to reimburse me for the things he bought at Sam's Club over the weekend when he was visiting. I may get some cash from that to have in my wallet. I am at 1/2 a tank of gas so will check prices.

Dinner tonight: breakfast. I have some bread I need to use up, eggs that have Nov 2 as the sell by date (still good but need to use up) and sausage in the freezer. Quick and easy. Boys requested french toast and that sounds good. Choirs tonight for the boys, prenatal Pilates for me. Said no to a jewelry party a friend of mine is having Thursday. Not only do I not want to spend the money, she lives in a town about 10 miles away and I really don't want to drive. DH has a meeting that night so I had a good reason why I couldn't go anyway. I'm saving my money for my annual all girls day trip to Omaha this Sunday. My 3 closest friends and I take one day every fall and go to Omaha and shop/christmas shop, etc. and have a nice lunch. We take turns driving every year (and every year, someone is always pregnant--this year it's me!) and chip in for gas. It's a 45 minute drive but different shops and we find a neat place for lunch. I have $200 earmarked in savings for this trip and hope to get the bulk of my Christmas shopping done. Plus, we just have a great time together.

I'm with you Cinnamon, I think Dave is going to demand I give back his book. 

We went to vote last night after picking up DS from day care.  Then it was pretty late so we stopped at the gas station/burger house (very small town) to get a couple of burgers for dinner.  It was a good greasy burger, but I always feel bad when we spend money like that.

This evening...we are having chicken pot pie, and I will be bagging up the ground beef  we cooked up on Sunday.  After that, I'll be getting my Cuisinart out to shredd cheese.  And I have a few loads of laundry to do.  My goal is to have get it all done this evening.  Otherwise, we are in a world of trouble.  The cheese I can save, but the beef needs to be frozen, pronto!  I've been so tired lately it's just a chore.

Yipeee and yahoo my work computer is up and running this morning so I have been entering claims for the past 2 hours :)

Should be a stretchy day as I have my breakfast and lunch with me today - need to get my hair cut tonight after work...then home to work on a quilt square for a baby shower that I'm helping with on Saturday.  Sis called me last night to say Mother is upset as her hospice nurse has been reassigned and we all loved her dearly-what a sweet devoted woman, and Mother has (again) compression sore's due to her sitting in one position during the daytime - she should be laying down for 45 minutes on her side but this is difficult as her breathing is worse when she does, so we try to encourage her the best we can. I will be her caregiver on the 13th for 10 day's, happy for whatever time we have together.

I don't plan to spend any money today.  DS working on his homework, I'm working on ebay, have some packages to ship.  Could go to Target for a couple of things, but may just wait until tomorrow. 

Soccer practice is tonight.  I don't know about dinner yet, something easy and quick!
