Hi "guys".

I really wasn't looking for a turkey today, but our local Wal-Mart had some on special for .40 cents a pound!

Wow...that's the best price around here for a long, long time. I just couldn't pass it up  so I purchased a 12 pounder. That was less than $5.00.

There's no even room in my tiny apartment refrigerator freezer compartment for it, so a friend put it in theirs for now.

I sure hope you find a bargain in your area!

Whatever is left over I want to can.

yeah it is turkey time I plan on getting at least 4 to 5 this year.

Not me ! I don't like turkey that much and it is way too much for just me.

A Perdue Oven Stuffer is a better size for me.

I'm in debate about getting a turkey.  I would need to clear out some room in my freezer and then I would need to plan on keeping it for at least a month.  If I had one I would probably make it for Christmas Eve or Christmas dinner when my parents are here.  If it was not cooked at Christmas, I would have to store it even longer.

I can't wait to start working.  I'm going to save my pennies and get a storage freezer so I can stop worrying about space... or lack thereof.

That is great!! I will have to buy 2 this year. We will need one for Thanksgiving and we here in FL have to get our Hurricane Turkey. You always keep a turkey in the deep freeze because if there is a hurricane and the power goes out it takes the longest to thaw. I have also ordered 2 Thanksgiving boxes from Angel Foods and those come with large chickens. I don't know what will be in the Christmas box.

Waaaaah! BW, I want to live where you do! The 86 cents a pound I paid a couple of weeks ago was a really good price for here!
