    Chantrix

I know, another stop smoking med. I actually used this and I can honestly that it does work. It cost me $5. total because of my copay but it truelly works. I have been smoke free since April 17- I smoked about 1 pack per day- my brother also went on it- he was your classical chain smoker- a cigaret would barely stop smoking and he would already be lighting another one he smoked 3-4 packs a day. He is now smoke free afteralmost 30 years. My brother and aI are 12 years apart in age I'm 35 hes 47. I normally do not preach about medications at all and dont believe you should run to your dr for everything or take a pill for a quick fix but this actually works. Its food for thought. Talk with your dr or check out the chantrix website.

Good for you.  Smoking is such a hard habit to break; I quit a long time ago, but still think about it.  I was addicted to the nicotine gum I used to quit for a while, too, LOL.  Glad to hear there is a product out there that is helping folks quit.  You will save money, that is for sure.

I have been thinking about this product. Did it make you ill or anything? I need to quit too, after 30 years. This has been a hard one for me to kick.

Yeah! Party!!!  Another smoke free person! I have my brother in law who is now smoke free after 30 yrs also. He was a 2 pack a day smoker... and now doesn't want to be near a cigarette! It took him one month to kick it while on Chantrix. (Unfortunately the insurance didn't cover it but it was still worth it... both myself and my mother are allergic/asthmatic to smoke). I recommend this now to anyone I know smokes.

Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.
    1 Samuel 12:24
But be sure to fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you.

Good luck, Kabin.  It has been a struggle for me too and maybe a blessing in its own way, because we all struggle with something.  Sometimes just having to go through the struggle makes me more understanding of other people's struggles.  Does that make sense?

    Anne-

I'm glad to hear that you had great succuss!!!! i have been smoking for about 22 years and have tried the "patch" before---I couldn't  stand the side effects.  I looked to the web-site and ordered  more info about this product.  I'm ready to quit.  Wish me your good luck-LOL.

Thanks everyone. My brother did suffer from an upset stomach after a while of using it. He was advise to slowly cut back while taking the product due to how much he smoked in a day. I was told to follow the directions of pick a quit date and then start taking the pill on that day. After awhile for me when I had to start taking the two a day, I started getting the flu like symptoms bad and had to cut it back to one pill a day and then was able to stop taking it completely.Havent had a cig since April 17th.Good luck to all of you who are gonna try to quit smoking- using whatgever method works for you. Remember-keep trying even if you dont make it this time- its just practice till you get it right.

    Re: Chantrix

I have to second this. My husband and I both quit using Chantrix, even though our insurance didn't cover it (125 bucks each month!), but our health and the money we spent on cigs FAR outweighs the medicine costs. Plus we were very lucky, and my husband only had to take it for a month before he decided he was ready to stop it, and I took it for only 2 months. Smoke free for over 2 months, and will be smoke free forever!

I will see if this product is available in Holland too. I stopped smoking many times and stopping is not that bad but keep on stopping is my problem. I am a heavy smoker so any expenses made on this product will be less then the money I spend on smoking, about $ 25 a week, smoking oldfashioned tobacco with cigaretepaper( most common here as cigarettes are even way more expensive).

Sounds good to me. After 20 years of smoking my lungs are protesting.
