Dear Living Simple, Just out of curisosity, what kind of periodical is "XM"? It is SO expensive! Love in Him, Deb
Deb, I'm not Livng Simple (although I do try to live simply! LOL ), but I thought I'd hazard a guess as to what XM is. I believe it's a satellite radio service that you pay for by the month, like you pay for cable TV. Like Sirius Satellite radio. I was racking my brain trying to think of a magazine called XM, and then it suddenly dawned on me that it might be the radio service!
Speaking of magazines, that's one thing that I've really cut back on. I used to get ten to fifteen magazines a month. I subscribed to them, and got good deals, but still...that's a lot of magazines, most of which I could easily read for free at the library!! Now I'm down to three. I figure I've saved about $150 this past year on that.
And I used to have a terrible Slurpee habit. You know, like so many people have a Starbucks habit? I'd get a large one every day. Now, I always re-used the plastic cup, so it only cost about $1.25, but I decided to cut back on them because I'm trying to lose weight, and also because I'm pre-diabetic. I only have one a week now, and I figure I'll save over three hundred dollars a year!
