     That seems crazy to me. They won't keep & return my checks to me, but if I write one out to a stranger at a yard sale, that person can scan it & 1) keep the checkor 2) "wash" the check or 3) dispose of the check in some way other than by shredding.

    I agree with Zohnerfarms. This article paints a pretty picture of convenience and its great until there's a glitch. I used to write checks out everywhere but now I cash one at my bank and go with cash as much as possible. Larceny has become too inventive and creative.
