    Magazine inserts

Just a pet peeve - the cards you find stuck in magazines. I rip them out before I read the magazine, since I can't keep it open with them there.

Toay I tore them out of 2 magazines, and one had 9, the other, 10. Not only irritating, but what a waste of paper and mailing expense.

I dislike them too!  plus the magazine pages won't lay down properly. I go though and rip them out before I read any magazines.

Those and the scented pages advertising perfume. It all smells the same to me and makes me sneeze.

Reader's Digest" is my favorite magazine. I remember when RD had no advertisements at all! Now each issue is packed with ad's and those annoying inserts. Like many of you, I go thru the magazine before reading, and take them out.

The perfumed ones mean I can't read the magazine (I can get migraines from smells like that).

More annoying still, and to me, alarming, are all the drug ads with coupons so you will get their product.  I think that drug ads in all media should be illegal.

Ditto to the above, but remember that many magazines will soon cease to publish.

I know they're being forcede out of business, along with many newspapers. It's a great loss for me, since I am a reader. That's one reason I subscribe to my magazines - I want to support them.

I tear them out and use them for bookmarks for the magazine I'm reading as well as for books and cookbooks. They are the perfect size for paperback books. Or I just recycle them. But yes, they are a pain. Perfumed inserts I put in my linen closet or stick in DH shoes, LOL.
