Re: November 2009 Angel food menu?

Our pickup is the 21st also and we're usually B pickup.  I had misread the next post and rushed to see Dec's menu then came back to see that it didn't say "the Dec. menu is already up".  (I just awoke from a nap and must still be sleepy! LOL!)

We're eager to see what Nov's dessert will be too.

We may get 2 sig. boxes and 1 or 2 fruit/veg boxes.

Kroger this week has turkeys on sale (with their Kroger card) for about 69 cents/lb!  I'm hoping there will be one left tomorrow, but need to check the freezer for space.  There actually may not be enough space for it right now!  Ugh!

No great holiday sales here yet.

My Af order will be small this month as I won't have the room to stock a lot in the freezer at one time. I will need to make purchases in smaller batches.

Brandy don't feel bad. I went shopping at wal-mart yesterday. I bought two turkeys. Jeno's was at .80 cent and Butterballs was at .98 cents. Both were good prices. Why both my husband wanted the butter ball and I wanted the other. So I got both. Took a good chunk of my freezer space I had. Then I bought three meals of stuffed chicken breast that I normally don't buy because of the price. We wanted some thing different and my family knows that we don't get this were often. So there is my specials meals for a while. So after shopping and getting four boxes last month my freezer is plum full. One is stuff packed and the other one is almost. So my order will not be as big either. I was hoping for four boxes but that will not happen this month. I know in a couple of months I will have to depend on AF for most of our food. When our grocery budget gets cut. That is why I stocked up on a couple of food. Cream of mushroom soup was on sale for .58 cents and it was on sale at Wal-mart so I bought up a case and half.

I went and order today. I ordered one signature box. If I get any more money I might go ahead and order another box. If I don't I won't cry. I bought a few things Sunday and I also have the Thanksgiving box coming.

I placed my order I got the signature package, the fruit and veggies, and the chicken breasts.  Between that the Thanksgiving package and my order from Share I am so glad I have the other freezer.

Placed my order today: 2 sig boxes, 2 produce boxes. This month has the most processed items since we started using AF in Aug, but it will get used. This is taking the edge off of a low food budget for us.

The December AF  menus are up.  We're definitely getting at least one of the Signature boxes, if not two.  I'll need to see how much freezer space I can make.  I'm so thankful we finally live in a place that has Angel Food!  It'll help out of food budget soooo much, and we're pinching every penny we can right now.
