Re: November 2009 Angel food menu?

I too have been looking for online order codes for November to help offset the $2 processing fee. I have not found any current codes yet but am hoping that maybe after the Thanksgiving box ordering is done there will be one or two. I was surprised that the fee went up from $1 to $2. But it makes sense because the credit card companies charge fees for each transaction usually so AF would not want to absorb those fees. I figure it is a convenience fee for me to not have to drive there on the night they take orders and saves me gas/time. But I really would love a November code!

The Nov. codes (if they do have them again) may come after the 1st.  You can check their twitter account:

I've been checking daily in case they post the codes before the 1st.

Just a reminder that tomorrow (Wednesday, Oct. 28) is the last day you can order the Thanksgiving box.

    comparitive value

Price comparison really varies by area. Some people find it cheaper to shop at local stores and others find they save so much more by using Angel Food. The best way to decide for yourself is to compare the prices with your local stores.

Any opinion of the holiday packs and the grill/meat selections?

The only holiday box I have used so far is Easter. It was worth the purchase.

I sometimes purchase the meat boxes. This is depedent on sale prices in my area. If I am able to stock on sale meats at good prices then I skip ordering additional meat boxes the next month.

Also, is there a thread here for SHARE?

We don't have a regular monthly discussion for SHARE. There have been too few users of that program to keep it going each month. I'd like to see more participants drawn here to discuss the foods like we do Angel Food. If you are interested in trying to make that happen, I will definitely support it.

    November Coupon Codes

Found this online and was able to use the turkey5 to get 5% ($1.50) off my signature box. Can only use 1 coupon per order it seems.

Angel Food Ministries is Happy to inform everyone that the new November Coupons are ready. The online coupons are “Turkey5″ which gives 5% off the “Signature Box” of Angel Food. The other coupon code is “NOVSP2″ which gives 5% off the “Special Meat Box #2″. These coupons are limited to the first 2000 users and will expire at the end of NOVEMBER. Happy Holidays!

Also seems to take $1.50 off Thanksgiving box if anyone still needs to order that today (the deadline).

Thanks for the coupon codes!  We may order 2 sig. boxes and 1 or 2 fruit/veg boxes.  The discount will almost cover the convenience fee so that's nice. :)

I am looking forward to ordering tis month. I will most likely skip the meat special for this month due to the Thanksgiving box that I ordered. I am not sure if I am going to fix the Thanksgiving box for Thanksgiving or divide it up into several meals. I am not use to cooking big meals. On the other hand we are not use to big meals to eat. I didn't grow up on big meals. I remember visiting my grandmother and having big meals. I believe we will be able to handle our order this month with out any problems. Specially since my freezer is not as full. I am trying to use some of our meat so I can easily stick the freezer with a turkey or two.

I grew up with multi course meals at every dinner time. This is also what I prepare each night, especially with having family with different dietary needs. Holidays are hard for to me make bigger and more grand, lol.

Re: November 2009 Angel food menu?

I was wondering something. My pick up date is Nov 21st. I am wondering is every one else the same day because of Thanksgiving or are there still two delivery dates. I know a few years when they tried the two groups for delivery I was in group a that had there delivery date on the middle of the month. But in November and December both groups was delivered on the same Saturday. So I was wondering if the same applied this year. I can't wait to place my order. Also I can't wait to see my desert in the Thanksgiving box this year.

Re: November 2009 Angel food menu?

Our pickup is also the 21st. We are getting the signature box, meat special #2, and 2 of the produce boxes. Would be fine with cookie dough again for the dessert item since it keeps or freezes well. Although I did just buy a huge bucket of cookie dough at Costco, but with the holidays I am sure I can use it for work potlucks. We are going away out of state for Thanksgiving so only have to make 1 dish (cheesy potatoes) so we will actually not be using any of the food for Thanksgiving. We will be able to stretch it out since there is just me and my husband. The double honey and pecans will be nice from the produce boxes since my husband uses honey to sweeten his coffee and I can use the pecans to make pretzel turtles for the holiday parties. I am already excited to see the December menus for Angel Food and Great Food For All. I am really liking not having to make any huge grocery store trips.
