I had to go to Wal Mart today so I took the November menu with me to compare prices. The total I came up with for November is $47.91 if purchased at Wal Mart. A few things I had to estimate:  cereal - I used the price per ounce of WM brand corn flakes to get 80 cents for 8 ounces of cereal, dessert - I estimated $2.00 based on the price of Little Debbie Snack Cakes that are sometimes included. I priced all the veggies the same since I could only find broccoli. The meats at Wal Mart are also in a "solution" like the ones from Angel Food, so I feel they are about the same quality. I don't think it would be fair to compare fresh cut meat to Angel Food and expect the same price.

I'd like to go ahead & order November's, but guess I'll wait to see if they have a coupon code.  We're thinking about 1 or 2 sig. boxes, and maybe the fruit/veggie box.

LindaC it is great that you are able to order on line. Right know I am not able to order on line so I am not able to save like you. I will find out tomorrow when I get to order.

I am new here - and new to AFN (it's in it's 2d month here) so I would appreciate any info you have about "coupon codes" and comparitive value. Any opinion of the holiday packs and the grill/meat selections? Really appreciate any info - the lady didn't mention codes but I see it's an option for online orders. I have a few days yet to decide! Also, is there a thread here for SHARE? I am in southwest Virginia and interested in what is available.

Welcome this was my first month ordering from AFN, it has only been in the area for two months.  I have been ordering from Share for almost three years.  I really like both of them and don't know what I would do with out them.  The big difference between AFN and Share is Afn is the same through out the U.S.  it is the same menu for everyone because it all comes out a central distribution center.  Were as Share is different in every state.  So Share WI is going to be different than Share VA.  Here is the menu for Share WI for November https://www.sharewi.org/orderform.pdf.  The coupon codes are for ordering online kind of like when you get codes for free shipping when order online.  You can just type in Angel food ministry coupon code in google and you can see if there is any code.  You might want to also check out www.greatfoodforall.com to see if they are in your area as well.  I do find that they are not only cheaper but also convenient.  Hope that helps.

Our order deadline is November 11. I'm hoping they extend it here in Military town, we dont get paid yet. I like what the menu has to offer this month. This will by my last chance to order till February 2010. Hubby will be coming home and we will be on LEAVE!! WOOO HOO!!

I also hope to use an online code this time around. Otherwise I will be calling to avoid the $2 surcharge. :)

Re: November 2009 Angel food menu?

I hate to claim ignorance. But I am.  The codes I found have "oct" in them and it looks like they are all used up now for the regular box.  Then I got a menu mailed to me from the nearest host/church and I see that if you place an order order online or in person and use a debit or credit card there is a $2 charge. This host doesn't take personal checks.  So I am a tad confused since I would have to drive to the host site which isn't even open but one day a week (sunday) to purchase by cash and then drive back home then return for the pick up, all which  adds to the overall cost. I know that's a little quirksome for me but that's why I am trying to figure out how this works and would really like a coupon code.  Hey, there's a reason I never understood people that ordered tickets through ticketmaster! Not with those service fees.

One month with a handling fee won't keep me from doing it but I am trying to understand the process correctly.  I am passing on the Thanksgiving box so I have a few more days to order (unless I pay by money order?) so you think there will be new codes for November in the next few days?

    Thanks again.
