I just received an email that they extended the ordering deadline to tomorrow at noon so maybe they will hold the November menu until after that.  Here is the email:

ALERT - Due to an internal Database and Server issue, we have extended orders for B week (customers and host sites receiving their orders the weekend of October 24th).  On behalf of Pastor Wes Wingo, who runs our IT Department, we all here apologize for any inconvenience.  Please place your orders before Friday, October 16th at 12 noon EST.

They may be having trouble loading the menu and other updates.

November's menu looks good--quite a few new items, at least some that we've not had yet.  I like that they have 3 frozen veggies plus the hashbrowns.  And 4 processed meat items this time, but I'd like to see how the fish patties are and mama loves that Chinese dinner.

This is the first month that I think we'll order the veggie/fruit box.  We eat all those items, except that kind of pear, but we can eat it anyway. :) And, it would save us about $2 to $3 if we paid today's prices for them.  I like that there is no duplicate veggie item between the sig. & v/f boxes which is good.   I'll need that honey bear too.

The site must be having technical difficulties today beyond displaying the new menu. I can pull up the November menu now, but I can't order it yet. It is still stuck on October, and I'm getting a message saying the time to order has expired.

I'm planning to get 1 sig. box and 1 produce box.

Frozen zuchini and frozen cauliflower are not items we use. I'll probably give those away but the rest are all foods we like. It's quite a bit of processed foods so I don't think I will be ordering four signature boxes.

I do plan to order two produce boxes.

I think I may order some of the meat boxes in place of signature boxes.

I am looking over the November Menu. There is two prepared meals, and two breaded meats. As far as I know this is the first time (at least with me) of breaded fish patties something different. Also the cauliflower by it self is a change. It has been a while since we broccoli. I don't remember getting hash brown patties or frozen zucchini before. I also like the produce box. I been hungry for cooked cabbage. I was hoping for the christmas box.

I don't remember ever having fish patties either. I have had hash browns from Angel Food before but it has been a couple of years since I have seen them.

    Brandy,

Could you use the zucchini in a minestrone soup? What about mixing the cauliflower w/ broccoli and after steaming them, cover with a cheese sauce, add fine bread crumbs and bake thru? Just some thoughts. HTH

Brandy, we're still fairly newbies to AF, having first started w/ them w/ the August delivery. I am thinking of using the fish fillets to make fish sandwiches on toasted buns, w/ homemade tartersauce, lettuce (cheese and tomato optional) HTH
