By surfing the web, I got my answer  OEM is stand for Original Equipment Manufacturer. and compatible cartridge is a cartridge that is not produced by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).

You may give your suggestions here regarding to both types of inks

Either one will work, but the OEM is the one that the printer marufacturer wants you to use. Sometimes in the fine print, you will find that you void the warranty if you use anything else.

I used OEM while the printer was in warranty, and then compatible. The differences in quality are minimal. It's much cheaper, though.

Hi ... Welcome to the forum.

Both answers that you have already received were genuine ... I am also going to offer my own genuine opinion ...my own personal opinion ...

OEM is a product that is specifically recommended by each manufacturer - you are referring to ink. Each manufacturer states their own 'warrenty' and additional warrenties may be available for purchase. Also, each state varies in their warrenty laws.

Compatible is a product that is usually just as good as the OEM product, usually will costs less and should work fine in most of today's products - printer ink.

If you need a more detailed oem answer, you could always contact the printer manufacturer of your product(s), a local computer repair store, business office supply store or trusted friends for further assistance.

Ultimately, the decision(s) that you make are a personal choice ... if you need assistance locating a phone number(s), myself or others here on the forum would gladly assist you.
