    Re: October 09 foodstamps

Dear All, My SNAP/Food Stamps EBT balance on Friday the 30th was $189.79.  I toook advantage of a sale at Walgreens on lush Haagen Dazs ice cream bars, & bought 2 for $3.  This left  me with a balance of $186.79.

On SUnday, my EBT did NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT reflect my normal $200 intake.  I only got the $178 that the Notice of Action prescribed, even though I had timely appealed & requested that my normal intake prevail until after the appeal was completed.  Therefore my balance was $365.79.

I went to Walgreens again on Sunday & bought Halloween candy 1/2 off (my weekend for sweets!) & bought 2 - 24-oz "mini"-sized  packages of my fave candy, Milky Way, 1/2 off.  I paid $7.28, & my balance was $358.51.

On Monday, a sister congregant & I went to Cala/Ralphs/Kroger & purchased $69.35 of groceries, leaving $289.16 in my EBT balance.  We bought:

    3.25 oz of kippered herring @ $2.39

2 liters of Coke Zero @ $1.99 (end of my sweet tooth for a long time I'llll bet!)

    2 - 1/2 glalons fo Ralph's grapefruit juice @ $3.99

12 oz of Gulden spicy brown mustard @ $2.49

    a gallon of skim milk @ $3.79

    2 boxesof 8 oz Morningsstar breakfast patties (soy - 3 serviigns of 2 patties each) @ $3.99

    3 kiwi fruits at $1

    3 avocados @ 88cents

    10 oz herbal salad pre-packk $2.49

    2 - 8.8 oz packages of white Calamyra dried figs @ $6.49

.68 lb of candied ginger,, $2.85

    4 Amy's pot pies @ $3.99

    2 Amy's enchiladas @ $4.69

I have about $35 until Friday, which will be plenty.  I will need milk, eggs, and bread.

I am starting my list for the weekend, I am going to buy some drinks to go.  We have been sick, 7 of us, and I think having some beverages will help with rehydrating and helping make up for lost weight, we have lost weight and I would like to get it back on the kids.  I would like to make some smoothies or shakes this weekend, and have drinks for the big kids they can take to school, some juices and maybe powerade, or Vitamin waters.

We will need fruit and some more baking ingredients.
