    Fleece Snuggies

I bought one of the pink ones that supports breast cancer research. They cost $14.99. My friend who works at Dillard's says that the ones sold at Dillard's cost over $38.00 and the fleece is much thicker than the $14.99 ones sold elsewhere. The Dilllard ones fo not come in pink.

It kinda makes me wish that they'd been available back in the days when Mom used to sew. Mom would've been busy making the family an assortment of them in different colors.

I bought a second pink Snuggie for Mom.

I do not sew very well. They look as though they would not be hard to make.

Hey Virginia, are the back of these snuggies open? I can not tell for sure from the commercial, but if they are open then they appear to me to be like a bathrobe put on backwards?

They are open in the back. It's a gimmick, but the guy who came up wuth the idea has made millions.

I got them because Mom can't wear a bathrobe very well. I wanted something to cover her up.

The long fleece hoodies are popular with children who play Star Wars. Who would have thought it?

I price matched Wally World with Hobby Lobby over the weekend and grabbed the pattern for snuggie type blankets it's Mc Call's 5970 one size fits all. The pattern takes at most 4 yrds and includes the foot pocket but not a hood. I supposed if someone really wanted a hood they could grab a poncho pattern that Mc Call's makes and put it on since both patterns are very simular. From the looks of the pattern the hardest part would be doing the sleeves.

I have seen patterns for the snuggles in knit and crochet at mary maxims.   I know someone on the forum made one from two fleece blankets and posted about it but I don't remember who.   they kinda remind me of hospital gowns!

I gotta buy another one for my aunt. She wants one in pink also. My maternal grandmother had breast cancer prior to having cancer in her bones.

My grandma is a BC survivor. So I buy the pink tic-tacs a lot. But instead of the snuggie, use the old indian style coat. I dont remember what its called, but its like a blanket, with a  head hole in the middle, so that it covers your arms and torso, and part of your legs, but if you reach to the sides, your arms are free....
