    Amazing pole beans

Today I harvested easily 5 pounds of Romano pole beans. These beans just keep on coming and coming. They are dwindling now, but each time I got out, I'm sure there cannot be any more - I come back with bags full.

I am also in love with these plants, the colour of the flowers, the strong, strong vines, the way they grow 2x2 and hang. They are so beautiful.

if you like beans, pole beans and others of that type produce so well.   I grew them and gave them to mil.

When we lived in Idaho, we grew Kentucky Wonder pole beans along one of the wooden fences & they also produced ridiculously well.

Romanos for dinner last night--they are superb.  Next time I can them, though, I'll precook them a little, since they really take up space in jars and they cook down bad in the pressure canner.
