Didn't go to the store today after all, but I think DH is going to pick up in & out for dinner, so $10 out in the end.

Have revised my plans for tomorrow, more economical and easier.  Going to order pizza with coupons or a mexican food tray.  Will actually spend less money doing that instead of cooking from scratch.  I know that seems unlikely but true!  I would need quite a few groceries to cook for the number of people coming over but 2-3 family size pizzas from the place down the street will feed us all fine.  When I mentioned it to one friend, she offered to contribute so even cheaper.

Easier too.  I was starting to stress myself out wondering why I said to everyone to come over when I didn't really have enough time to do much and was getting worried.  Then I told myself to take a step back and figure out how I can make it work without exhausting myself.  Excited now!  Sometimes I stress myself out for no reason.

Have a stretchy weekend everyone!  I am going to keep mine as low budget as possible!!

a no spend day today! finally!   so at least one day this week was no spend!

I just finished my quiz and I think I may have actually done okay this time - I haven't liked this class at all!  ;-(

No money out, but its still early and MAN O MAN a glass of wine sounds sooooooooo good.  Maybe I will do a work out tape instead.  Hmmmmmm

I think what has helped me is the Quickenonline.  I added my checking account to it and it sends me updates when transactions occur to my email.  Well, I only have 400.00 in my checking and my mortgage has not even hit yet.  So... I am looking at some wicked overdraft, so I want to get some money in there so I don't have that happen and the less I spend the better chance I will have!

I might be able to make it a few more days, if I don't go to big lots and store!!!  Might give it a try... I am going out tomorrow night and I am being treated, so that will be WONDERFUL BREAK! 

dmc I hear you..my overdraft and me have been close lately!

this month is screwed for me and yes exspensive Im paying the credit thing off and and gave rent and food money to month wish I had no spend days for this oct.

Even though the thread is "officaially over" I think I am going for another no spend day today.

DDs daddy didn't have any money for me last night and I have a feeling it is over, he probably is going to stop paying at least for awhile. 

So now, I really have to live within my means and its not gonna be pretty.

How am I ever going to keep DD in gymnastics...something I can't afford but do because loves it and should have something.  I got into a lot of trouble as a kid because I never had anything.. I don't want that to happen to her.  Anyway... I will eek out the tuition somehow.

I can do this, I just have to completely do these no spending days and only pay bills and stay true to my grocery budget and I can make it.  Easy, heck no, doable, you bet! 

She hasn't mentioned the boots today!  yay

Participating in this thread has helped me so much.  It helps me to stay accountable when I post here with everyone.  I think about my purchases more when I participate in a challenge here with y'all. It's also so nice to get encouragement to keep trying even if we didn't have a no spend day.

I thought today would be no spend, but it turns out that it's going to be a spending day.  DH open our attic access stairs this morning so DS#1 could get something out of the attic, we have a problem with them.  I knew that we would have to replace them soon but I didn't know it was going to be today! DH says there is no way to repair them (they have been repaired several times) and he is afraid that they will break and one of us will get hurt.  So, he just left for home depot to get a new set.  I transferred money from savings to pay for them.  Not happy about it, but it is something that we need to fix because of the safety aspect. 

On the bright side, DH helped me give our little dog a bath so no money out to the groomer.  DMC I would be up for another challenge next week if you want to post one.

Oh my gosh, DD so happy. Just now I gave her a bag of Groovy Dolls that someone gave me and she is so happy.  She keeps coming to me and saying... Look mom, it has this and.. Look mom it has that.... So cute.

I always try to have something stashed away for days when she is being so good and I don't want to spend money.

I already have some Halloween treats stashed too!

This didn't cost me a penny and that is the best part!  ;-)  Okay, I need to go workout to a cd, its too cold to walk outside today and I have decided to come back home afterwards and clean out my closet. No stores!
