Day One for me a success.  This is doubly good because I'm bringing in dinner for the teacher's at DH's, DS's and DD's school for parent teacher conferences.  I made a hot Tuscan soup with garlice bread and a pumpkin cream cheese roll for dessert.  I have everything in my pantry and freezer to make this without planning for it.  YEAH!

Not a no spend day for me today. Tuesday is payday for us so I that is when I run my errands and grocery shop. I went to both wally world & aldi for groceries.  I also went to Target, Michael's & Hobby Lobby to purchase a few sale items to use when we particiapte in our church truck or treat night later this month.  DH & I both needed gas so money out to fill up both the pick up and the suburban.  Will try again tomorrow.

That's wonderful Striving!  Your menu sounds delicious.  So great to have a full pantry isn't it??  I never realized the benefits of this until this past year or so.  Love it now.  It's so great to be able to do something like that without having to spend a lot of money. (Or any in your case!)

DMC-I LOVED THAT STORY!!  Maybe we should rename these threads "Put Your Feet Down!" Threads.  I bookmarked that link for when I am feeling frustrated.  I really do believe the way out of debt is $1 at a time and she makes that clear.  Most people didn't get into debt all at once, it was money spent here and there.  I think money saved here and there is the way out.

    Consider my feet firmly planted!

That is a Monday thru friday.   Bills don't count!  No stores, no garage sales, no shopping online, no fast food, no dining out, no cash out!

Posting early so we can prepare and be ready. See you Monday!  Are ya in?

Thanks for the challenges. Reading them is encouraging and gives me more admiration for everyone involved.

Dear Jennylynn, How sweet of you to support me in my catering to my Baby Heart.  I'll be as parsimonious as possible consonant with her good health from here on in, but I do not have anyone to  get "hand-me-downs" from & no Baby shower, so had to start from scratch.  Love in Him, Deb

    No spend, Day TWO!

DD having dinner with daddy and I made myself a salmon patty and some squash, both from the freezer.  I am having the same for lunch tomorrow, if I don't eat all the squash!  Its butternut and that is good.  I will buy frozen more often when on sale for red. prices.

Getting ready to make our lunches for tomorrow and have a piece of red meat and some spegetti sauce in the fridge to work on for dinners the rest of the week.  Also, some chili and some hotdogs at the ready in the freezer.

Okay, bring on Day three!  Hopefully, nothing will come up!

I did well on Monday, not as good yesterday - I grabbed a coke and burger from McD's after my Dr apointment.    Today will be a good no spend day - it's pouring buckets and we are staying home.   I will need to get a gallon of milk later - hopefully I can just have DH pick it up on the way home.

Sounds like everyone is doing well and doing a great job of encouraging each other.   Stay strong!!!  hehehehe  ;)

Re: No Spend Days... October 5 thru 9th

Today will not be a no spend day for me as it's DS early day at school and my errand day.  But my goal is to keep to it like the story DMC posted . . . get in and out for what I need.  No browsing, no extras!

Need to go to the zoo to buy tickets for a donation for the school.  Need to go to the mall too-DD's costume is still on sale (I think) and also need nephew's birthday gift.  Lastly going to Target for milk, some grocery items, and a few Halloween treats to BOO a couple friends with (we were boo'd yesterday so our turn to leave some treats!  Fun!)  It will help that I have a timeline and want to get everything done before I have to pick DS up.  That will encourage me to get in and out quickly!  Beeline for what I need and back out again.

No spend today, but can't say that for tomorrow....  Heading to town to get DH's prescriptions (last time they only had a partial of 1 and the other one we had to drop off a paper script) and will need to get a 1/2 gallon of milk and put gas in the car as I never did so days back!  Oddly enough... no driving = no gas needed & no going anywhere to spend!

The whole point of turkey is to get to the pie.

    Day Three, No spend.

I hope I can keep it up, it is getting scary again for me.  My dd daddy said work is slow and he gives me a little bit and it looks like that might be coming to a halt.  I am really nervous.  Nothing like fear to help you PUT YOUR FEET DOWN!  ;-)

Dinner tonight will be some steak I have defrosted, maybe some rice or half a baked Pot with my DD.  I have some fresh broc to make up as well.  I have a boat load of homework to keep me busy, both mine and my DDs.

Good luck all, things come up that can't be helped, but just try to keep those feet to the fire!  ;-)

I wish I made more money!!!  Yikes!  I feel so bad.  My DD pulled out an old pair of cheapo fake UGH boots today and they looked horrible.  I need to see if Pennys or Walmart has some new ones for her.  I am buying her a pair this weekend, so there will be money out there... but she is so good and  I don't want her to feel bad about her boots.  ;-(
