    My son's psychotic ex girlfriend

Sounds like a funny horror movie, right?

It's been 6 weeks since the whole breakup went down and the resulting fallout. (chronicled in a Homeschooling Forum thread earlier) Today we found a TShirt stuffed in the mailbox with a note on it, saying this was my son's belated birthday gift, that she wore it today (so it smelled like herIck!) and that she loved him...she loved him....she missed him...and that she loved him....Angry    Yeah we get the picture PsychoBabe. She drove 45 minutes to do that!

My son has changed his phone, quit his job, changed his email and quit facebook all to get away from her. Now we have to worry about a stalker or something?

    What do we do???!!!

I don't know if she mailed the shirt or delivered it to your mailbox in person if so I think there are federal laws against people putting unstamped mail in someone elses mailbox.  Sounds as if the young lady may have a mental problem and seems as if your son has done everything to get away from her he may have to get a restraing order to keep her away from him next time he chooses a new lady hopefully he will be more careful but I also know when you first meet people they are usually at their best and as time goes on their true colors come out.

    Yep it is illegal.

You may want to start documenting this stuff and at least file a complaint with the police. That way there is a history to refer to when if you have to apply for a restraining order.

Oh just what we have all wanted! Ew.

I have no idea what to suggest here but I hope she gives up soon.

Dear All, Just to be politically correct -- which I know is a bit silly, but this did hurt my feeligns, & might hurt Dixie's -- teh term "psychotic" is a medical symptom which a trained medical professional may use, but which shouldn't be thrown around lightly.  People with Psychiatric Disabilities like me could find it offensive.  I agree that the behavior of the young lady in question is peculiar & verges on the crime of stalking.  Yours in Him, Deb

I mean no offense Deb; she really does have a mental disorder it would appear.

Dear Cinnamon Huskies, The mental disorder that this gal apparently has is "borderline personality disorder" which means that she is alternatively completely in love with & absolutely hates a person, & that she has trouble following the rules of civil society.  "Psychosis" is something entirely different, it refers to hearing voices, seeing things that aren't there but not in the sense of optical illussionns, etc.  It is a medical term.

Nonetheless, I fully accept your apology.

Re: My son's psychotic ex girlfriend

I would surely document all the things that she does to your son and also who may have witnessed it.   My dh had an employee who threatened to kill our two small children many years ago to help my dh so he would not have to be bound to them.   My dh did not know when he hired him that he had a very long criminal record and had done some terrible things.  When my dh let him go, his true colors begin to show quickly and in very weird ways.  Having the documentation and the calls to the police dept. recorded really helped.   This guy would come by our house at night and leave things outside our house that he had stolen while working for us, like  a shovel one night, some sterio speakers one night and one night he came to our house falling down drunk and threatened to slit my throat, because he wanted to know if the God we believed in would forgive him.  Dh was not home that night and it was very frightening, but we also reported this to the police.  He eventually moved away or something.  We did not see him for over 10 years when we ran into him at a restaraunt.  He did not even recognize my dh.  (STRANGE)

I hope things work out for you and your son.

I agree with the previous poster who suggested documenting everything with the police/sheriff. That way at least you have a paper trail if you need to get a restraining order.

In the meantime, if your son does end up having to talk to her, make sure he tells her in no uncertain terms that her behavior is NOT sexy or attractive, and she is just making herself look foolish. It may be true that this young lady has a mental imbalance, but girls who feign depression to get a boy back are the pinnacle of unattractiveness.
