    Colleges with work-for-tuition plan

Just logged into excellent Bankrate article on colleges which require student to work for part of tuition.

They left off Martha Berry College in Rome, GA, an excellent liberal arts college.

Back in the days -lol- I worked for 60-cents per hour towards my college tuition. Students were required to work 10 hours weekly.

    Hi!

Since I can't peruse your article ~ back in the 60s, and probably even today ~ there are Colleges/Universities that have "co-op" programs.  They are 5 year courses for a Bachelor's Degree (usually 4-year) ~ broken up into 4 semesters yearly ~ where a Student takes courses for 6 months, then works in Private Industry for 6 months to pay for their next 6-month period of courses.

Likewise, in today's world ~ for those seeking their Masters..............working full time, there are programs of night school, that only take a year or a bit more, instead of the usual 2-year day school.!  I think they're referred to as accelerated degrees?  This enables a student's company to pay for a majority of their Master's Degree!

With this horrible economy ~ don't you think more diversified opportunites will be created, by most  Colleges/Universities?
