If you have a Bells/Bealls Discount, check the cosmetic aisle for French Peony hand cream.  Yes, the tag says $10.99, and it doesn't have a dot on it, but it is a discontinued item. 

Last night, I headed in, bearing the Old Lady discount card--15% off, Monday only, and found that the $5.99 tube was marked down to $1.99, and the $10.99 was at $3.00.  After my Old Lady discount, I ended up with 3 jars and a tube for $9.56, including tax.  The stuff smells just like the flower, is not strong enough to knock the neighbors down in the street, but has enough scent to cut it by half or more with unscented cream, bringing the price way down.

Peon forgot something (I'm not All There in the mornings):  Store may be marking down old stock for new Christmas stock.  Cashier told me that she can't tell what's on sale unless she scans it. 

They have Estee Lauder, Liz Claiborne, and other varieties, too.  Take a handful up to the cashier and ask her to scan them for price.  If several things are on sale, this could be a great opportunity for cheap but classy Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa gifts.
