    And baby makes...3

kiddos, that is! We are expecting our 3rd child in February. I'm feeling much better now that I'm past the first trimester. We have a 3 year old and a 5 year old (boys) now.

DH and I are starting to discuss my cutting back work hours even more. I haven't even brought it up to my boss yet. But I've been running numbers, trying to budget for the future which is so unknown.

Anyway, we are very excited and looking forward to MAYBE having a girl. Smile DH is one of three boys and my father in law is one of 3 boys so I may be destined to have 3 boys. I'll take either--I'm not picky, LOL. I just pray for a healthy pregnancy above all else.

You'll be outnumbered!  Congrats.  Glad you are feeling good. A daughter would be nice, but three boys would be good company for each other, either way, as you say, would be good.  One thing is you could find more little kid clothes if you have a girl.  Ever notice how 60-70% of the baby toddler clothes area seems to be girl clothes?

So, here's the aspiring nurse in me- you should try to eat an egg a day and some fresh, not canned fruit, and lay on the couch for a rest during the evening.

Will be looking for updates, I am excited for your family.

I've been craving fresh fruit, especially grapefruit and pineapple! As well as chips and dip (trying to avoid that stuff!).

DH has been great about letting rest or nap and taking the boys to the park or swimming or on a walk. Just last night, he took the boys to church activities and I stayed home and rested (and folded laundry, LOL, but I was sitting down).

I'll try to eat an egg a day. I've not been hungry for meat at all during my first trimester but trying to get iron and protein in other ways.

FYI, the egg a day and fresh fruit come from excellent teaching midwives, who know a lot more about nutrition for the expectant mom than most doctors.  Fresh fruit and eggs have lots of ingredients that processed food does not contain, small amounts of things that are good for you that are not currently measured or considered essential. However, for my last two babies I was at a high risk perinatalogist, I took additional Vit E and C, and a baby aspirin every day.  On top of the prenatal. Something to think about, I took the baby aspirin due to some problems in earlier pregnancies, but have continued with it as it helps decrease cancer rates, who knew?

I am glad you are getting a little break, take it easy and eat well!
