'Fess up - what fun things would you really like to get in your Christmas stocking?

For a minute, let's forget about being sensible, frugal adults and 'fess up - what truly silly toy/ gadget/ would you like to see in your stocking? And while you're at it, tell what equally silly candy or snack you'd like Santa to bring you.

    Here's my list

    1. Pocket Etch-A-Sketch - wanted one from the time I was a child, never had one.   Now, at nearly 44 years old, I don't want to borrow anymore. I want one of my own!
    2. Flingshot Flying Animal - it's a toss up between the monkey and the pig, but I'm leaning towards the pig.  Check out the Amazon link:  http://www.amazon.com/Small-World-Express-Monkey-Flingshot/dp/B000HFCLZU/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1250558813&sr=8-2   My mother, MIL and children would be completely mortified.   Much to the kids' dismay, Dh can be just as silly so he'd find it funny.
    3. Candy Cigarettes - another one of those silly throwbacks to childhood.
    4. An elf hat, complete with pointy ears! Again, my children would probably die of embarassment!

Of course, the only way I'd get a stocking is if I fill it myself!   It won't be as much fun though - it would be nice if Santa surprised Mom too!

I'm having a Peter Pan moment. Please bear with me! LOL!

A hoola hoop! Wait... that won't fit in a stocking. Maybe a jump rope and ball'n'jacks, then.

I have one of those flying monkeys, I Love it, and it has a little hat and "goggles", it is adorable.

1.) candy cigarettes, they got banned in my house years ago

2.) crayons, 4 boxes, and a jumbo coloring book

3.) a puppy, kinda out there, but I want one SO bad

4.) Those things called mint melt aways, I only find them in the fundraisers from middle schoolers

Cindy, my Dad would take me to watch the planes take off so I understand.

Candy Cigerretts were forbidden at my house and they tasted so good.

Yarn and crochet hook. Floss, needle and fabric. And one of those little kits where we made pot holders out of loops of fabric.

Paper dolls. I had a great time with these when I was a kid (some home-made, some purchased) and I loved, loved, loved paper dolls.

A do-it-yourself kit to try my own french manicure/pedicure.

A box of Bonnie Bell lip smackers--I got a box of 6 or 8 as a kid in a stocking once. All different flavors, so cool.

The embriodery floss in 20 colors and the pamphlet on how to make friendship bracelets. I made a gazillion when I was in jr. high but forgot how.

That's all I can think of. Maybe I will look around to see if I can find some of these for my own stocking this year, LOL.

Here's a virtual gift for your stocking - instructions for making friendship bracelets! Lol!

I saw embroidery floss (packs of 8 colours) at our local "dollar" store which really doesn't help you since I'm in Barbados!

Another admission - I never had the coordination for a hula hoop!  Which is pretty strange, since I'm of Caribbean ancestry, raised in the Caribbean and most of our dancing involves a lot of well coordinated waist & hip movement!

And I forgot to add to my list of silly playthings - a Chinese jump rope.  When I was growing up, I got into lots of trouble for raiding my mother's sewing supplies for elastic to make my own Chinese jump rope.   My friends used to get into even more trouble for raiding their mother's panty hose!
