I agree with prior posters in that it is essential to have a budget, to have automatic deduction for savings and to record all your expenditures. However I would like to add that the most motivation which I have found is to closely record my achievements and to post them. I have my achievements posted above the sink in the kitchen. Everytime I go to cook or wash dishes I see how much I have achieved so far. It is such a motivation for me. I would also advise you to really sink your teeth into the many tips which you will find on frugal sites including stretcher. There are many good people here who will assist you with motivation.
