How are you stretching $$$ ?

I had to postpone lunch with my friend because I had a horrible headache.

I took 2 Tylenol and went back to bed for a nap.

I cooked at home for my meals.

Tuesday I have an appointment with my lawyer. If I wake up feeling really lame I may have to reschedule the appointment. Her office is on the second floor and there is no elevator in her building.

I'm enjoying my library books. Wednesday I will return some library books.

I am looking forward to Wednesday's pedicure and manicure.

morning! we have decided to do an early b-d celebration for me today while the kids are home still. We are going out to eat plus taking in the Harry Potter movie. We have the cash for this so I'm just going to enjoy it (and probably have buyer's remorse in the morning, lol) . I woke up at 3 a.m. today, ugh, but will try to sneak in a nap later. I have a lot of work to catch up on and hope to make progress in that today prior to this evening's fun. have a great day!

Today I must go the the grocery store and get some tea bags. That should be just $1.09 with tax. Need to do about 3 loads of laundry, in cold water of course. Going to try to hang them outside. It's suppose to be sunny & hot today. Dinner will be spaghetti & meatballs with homemade french bread.

Boring day for me today. No spending planned. Still have a mild sore throat. I did have a dentist appointment today, but rescheduled it because of the tonsillitis.

Breakfast was eggs and sausage, lunch is leftover lasagna, veggies and a peach. Dinner will be the chicken I have thawed. DH made beef tacos last night. I pulled out some hamburger for tomorrow night.

Well, yesterday ended up being very spendy because I made the deposit on our Walt Disney World trip.  I've known it was coming and can't wait for the trip, but it still hurts to part with so much money! We ate out last night---$24 out.

PB & apple butter sandwich & milk for DD & oatmeal for me for breakfast. Cheese sandwich & yogurt for lunch. Don't know about dinner yet.  Hopefully no money out today so I can have my first no spend day this month!

The weather outside is ominous.  It's practically nighttime it's so dark out.  Makes me nervous when it's this bad.  No warnings of any kind, just that it's going to be heavy thunderstorms with lots of lightening.  Also reminds me that DD & I need rain galoshes for when we walk to school in the rain....

Yesterday was spendier than anticipated.  $35 for gas in the car.  $20 on dinner out (our shopping trip to WM took way longer than anticipated); we spent $80 at WM.  $20 of that was DD's school supplies -- not a long list, but we spent more on crayons b/c we could only bring in a 16 pack (nothing larger, nothing smaller -- it was very clearly written) and we had to buy her a tote bag as opposed to a backpack.  She picked out a $7 Snoopy & Woodstock one that was purple with hippy flowers all over it.  We also purchased extra supplies for the art teacher who cannot make them mandatory but can request donations.  Picked up our meds and more of DH's green tea.

Today we are sticking close to home.  There's plenty to eat as we've been invited places left & right the past few days and we were too far from home last night.  I want to get my redone bulletin board up on the wall so I have a place to hang up DD's papers from school.  I also need to get the calendar hung up so we all know where we're going and when.  DH is going to pull my alarm clock out of the box today and plug it in & set up my bedside lamp.  DD & I are going to practice waking up on time for school.  After we've done that a few days we're going to practice getting up and dressed in a more timely fashion.

Will also spend a bit of time cleaning out the fridge (the part I didn't get to yet), catching up the dishes, and checking the mail after lunch (weather permitting, of course).  Also need to finish one last load of laundry.

Good Morning to all...

As I came to work early this morning 6:00am the temp was already at 89 so it will be a hot one today-really interested in getting the electric bill for the month of July...or maybe dreading is a better word as July was one of the hottest in the past few years-here's hopeing that the programable thermostat helped that with keeping the a.c. at 85 when we are at work for 10 hours and at 83 the rest of the time - except for sleeping which is 81.

Look's like a quiet day at work as my boss has the day off and I still have a lot of paperwork to handle...will check with the airlines for the best $$$ flights to Indiana - and book my next "journey".

Thank you for your prayer's for Mom during this time of hospice care...Everyday I pray for her to have peace - she is also a victim of "panic disorders" and even with the meds it is still very frightening for her.  Your prayer's for her give me comfort too.  Bless You.

Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Pamelaw, Happy birthday to you...

Made it through yesterday without making a single purchase.  However, today won't be so lucky.  I took off work so DS and I are going back to school clothes shopping.  Can't really purchase necessary supplies though since our high schools around here don't give pre-determined lists.  We have to wait until the first day of school for each teacher to let them know what is required in their class.  I also promised my DS supper at the Olive Garden.  My DH is still out of town so we are taking advantages of eating things DH can't eat due to his Crohn's.

Weather here is dry and HOT! No chance of rain in the forecast for the next 5 days then its only a small chance...
