back on topic. The deed is done. I did learn that the duct above my stove had (notice the past tense?) a plastic part. it warped and fell from all four burners and oven being on for 1/2 hour. I'm still laughing. So glad I'd not popped out for coffee!
I'll plan on two burners at a time and oven at a different time at Pesach!

I am aaafraid that by halakah (Jewish law) more than 1/60th of the plasstic may be considered to have welded/melded onto your stove-top & be permanenetly there. Pleazse check.
