back on topic. The deed is done.

I did learn that the duct above my stove had (notice the past tense?) a plastic part.

it warped and fell from all four burners and oven being on for 1/2 hour. I'm still laughing.

So glad I'd not popped out for coffee!

I'll plan on two burners at a time and oven at a different time at Pesach!

No offense meant, Truepeacenik, but it seems to me that you just de-Kashered your stove-top, fi the duct plastic part fellll there.  Please check with yoru Rabbi.  No offense meant.  Love in Him, Deb

    I'm hoping for adventure free!

Worst comes to worst, I heat a burner at a time and start over.

Dear Truepeacenik, Check with the Rabbi, please.  I am aaafraid that by halakah (Jewish law) more than 1/60th of the plasstic may be considered to have welded/melded onto your stove-top & be permanenetly there.  Pleazse check.  I don't want to be a prophet of doom!  The Rabbi knows MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH better than I do!  Love in Him, Deb
