Thanks everyone for the nice welcome and kind words; very much appreciated. I've never really been one to participate in forums but for some reason, this whole site just seems so different than the other ones and I mean that in the best of ways.
My mom has been on Hospice for a year now which is almost unheard of. The doctors told me 3 years ago she would only last 6 months. Here she still is and still stumps the doctors. This little Brooklyn Italian has more faith and guts than anyone I know. She had come along way when we first started with Hospice but since January, her health is getting worse in the sense she is getting weaker and shes just plain tired. She has COPD along with other problems but since she lost 2 sons from cancer in the past three years, it really took a toll on her.
I don't know how much longer I'll be blessed to have her with me but I Thank God each and every day for what he has given me. It is a true gift that very few get to receive.
I will then say thank you again and good night, :)
