When you reply to a post, the post is shown at the top of the text box. In the lower left hand corner of the post is a button that says "Quote."  Click on that and the post will appear in the text box. If you want to quote only a part of a post, highlight that part before clicking on the quote button.

I hope I explained that well enough. If not, I'll try again.

Thank you so much, Pat!  THis is the SECOND time you explained it (over time); I didn't understand the 1st time but didn't want to ask, as I hate soundign stupid.  I now understand fully & can quote directly instead of having to write down the occasional sentence I want to quote & then type it out.  I'll quote much more often now that I can do it automated!  Thanks!  Love in Him, Deb

You're welcome, Deb (and anyone else this has helped). Don't worry about how you sound when asking questions. This software isn't the easiest to use at times for any of us!

Sometimes I have more than 1 tab (or window) open with the thread I'm replying to so that I can put quotes from multiple people in the same post. There may be an easier way to do it--idk.
