Find out if the proposed replacements on the heat pumps include the repairman keeping the oldies.  If it doesn't, sell the oldies while they are still up and running and arrange for the buyers to come and take possession of them once they are removed. This will allow you some extra money from the deal.

Didn't go anywhere on the 4th. DH only left to get potato salad for dinner. We had the in-laws over for dinner. We grilled hotdogs and hamburgers and had the potato salad, potato chips, pasta salad, baked beans, cole slaw, apple cinnamon bread, and deviled eggs. We provided part and the in-laws brought the rest. Our town doesn't do fireworks on the 4th. They have a summer fest around the 4th and do the fireworks then. There were still plenty of fireworks in neighboring towns, though.
