I used a 2 foot by 2 foot square of wrinkled gold foil as a base. I laid twinkling Christmas lights inside it and pushed the gold foil up around it. I cut pieces of red and orange tissue paper (approx. 6 inches by 3 inches) and stuck them in among the Christmas tree lights. I opened up the tissue paper which covered (not completely) the string of lights. I laid sticks around the outside of the gold foil. I was happy with it.
