Those were great! I laughed out loud when I read that I can compost unpaid bills. (Does that mean I don't have to pay them at all??)

I noticed tea bags were listed twice. I also saw that expired flower arrangements were listed. I'm not comfortable composting those, because I don't know what kind of chemicals/preservatives/insecticides were put on them.

Great list. I never thought about composing paper (paper towels, napkins, etc.) but if you think about it, they are just wood. Also, I always thought I wasn't supposed to compost anything remotely having to do with protein or I might attract unwanted visitors. So, it's ok to compost yogurt, fish skin, etc?

I wonder if the debt collector can be composted as well when they begin calling about those unpaid bills?

I stay far from any seafood or seafood shells. They raise some powerfully nasty smells when they sit and they do attract tons of flies. When we have seafood, I double bag it and put the tossable parts into the trash immediately. Even with this, there is an odor around the trash can.

I also do not compost any dairy products and other things that attract too much attention from flies, rats and other critters.

Big Smile Oh I don't think composting the bill collector will make it on the list.

Here is another one entitled Unusual Items to Add to Compost; its a little less radical.

I've groomed my pets and their hair is in the compost bin as we speak

We have racoon and skunks in the area, so I'm not going to put any dairy, meat nor fish parts out there.  I am going to put the pet hair out there, and be more diligent overall.

My end of garden pieces will end up there too.    And leather from now on.

This link claries that you shouldn't put paper towel with cleaning product in the compost pile.
