Well, no surgery today.  Dr. said the swelling was too much to even get a look at her eyeball and gave Babe an antibiotic shot and new antibiotic liquid eyedrops.  Wants to see her again Thursday.  I'm not expecting for her to have any surgery Thursday, so at least Babe won't have to go through another night of no food this week.  Babe did really well this time and only hissed once when she got the shot.  She didn't do any biting this time. Surprise

Rooting for her recovery.  When she gets back her fight and her appetite, you'll know she's getting better!

Yes, thanks for asking.  We took Baby for a followup check Thursday and the new antibiotic eyedrops had helped the swelling a little.  Dr. probed her eye area gently and said her eyeball looks sunken back but that the swelling was so much that it needed to go down some more to really get a good look and see what condition the eyeball is in.  Still may not need the surgery to remove it, but it's still too early.  We're to continue giving the eyedrops twice a day.

I didn't say anything at the time, but Monday I was struggling somewhat to keep it together.  I thought we wouldn't be bringing Babe home--that she wouldn't make it through surgery.  I was really sad.  So, now I have some hope for her. :)

Thank you all, again, for your thoughts and prayers!
