My neighbors just had their whole front flower bed ripped out and put in a brick sidewalk, brick trim on the front "stoop/steps/mini porch" then put in all new plantings in the bed and added some matching urns, a lighted fountain, a bench on the sidewalk and a bar height table on that mini porch (all these items match in a sort of bronze color)

I, on the other hand, hope to pull some grass out of the evergreen ground cover and kill te weeds on the side bed this long weekend.....

i love being in my yard.  its nothing special, but we have a place for a swing under an apple tree.  we live by a creek that the water rolls over the rocks and sounds so pretty.  l love to get a book and sit there and just swing and listen to the water.  [of course, it doesnt sound too good when the creek gets high]Tongue Tied

Your neighbors took on a big yard project. It sounds like it looks nice but I can't say I would want to cover the costs.

The perfect yard, to dh and I, is quiet, with a view.  Add in some windchimes, flowers, fields and woods, and it works for us.

For me, add a sun dial.

You can keep the sun dial.  :)

For me, I like wind chimes, water features and water gardens,  birds, butterflies and flowers.

lol. I will keep my sun dial. It was a family gift. I like all your features except wind chimes, which annoy me to no end.

I can understand that. I am sure it makes an interesting piece.

I like sights, sounds and fragrances.
