    free knitting patterns

    Hey,

I love knitting and it is my hobby to knit purses, mobile covers, etc. with distinct patterns and the secret to it is the Free Knitting Patterns from an online website. Smile

Knitty has fabulous patterns; I'm going to start the Shipwreck Shawl from their spring issue very soon.

Knitting Daily - www.knittingdaily.com - often offers free patterns, plus a fun, helpful email newsletter which comes 2-3 times a week.

My favorite knitting spot on the Net is Ravelry .  Tons of patterns (many free) with project pages so you can see how people's finished objects turn out, forums, all kinds of yarn information...it's excellent!

Hi Edey, I have a bunch on my projects page at Ravelry. Search for ElendilPickle and you can see them all.

I've done the February Lady Sweater, the Striped Noro Scarf, a Calorimetry, and a Gypsy Rose Scarf for myself - oh, and a pair of socks as well, plus a felted tea cozy for my husband and an Adipose (Doctor Who critter) for my daughter's roommate.  Right now I'm doing the Sidelines Top from the fall 2008 issue of Interweave Knits, and I'm making a Clapotis for my daughter for Christmas.

I do a lot of knitting for the Seamen's Church Institute ; their Christmas at Sea program gives scarves, hats, socks, vests, etc. to sailors on cargo ships, riverboats, cruise ships, etc. for the holidays.  I've made a bunch of scarves and hats for them, and one pair of socks.
