    Kid's Homekeeping Handbook

I found a nifty resource for those of you who incorporate life skills into your children's education.

Check out the kid's homekeeping handbook from Beverly at About.com!

That's neat Brandy, thanks for posting!  I don't homeschool but I think that's something all kids should learn and that a great resource for getting the kids involved and started.  I have recently been thinking about how I can make DS jobs more "official" instead of me just telling him to do different things-I may start with that!

I agree. Even parents who do not homeschool could find this a very useful and fun resource.

I particularly love the pages for making cleaners!  My daughter will love this and we can use mixing cleaners as a bit of a science project too.

I told my youngest what I found and she is very excited about some weekend lessons on learning to be the lady of the house. She wants to make her own book to keep these pages and other things we come across on managing a home.

Saturday is my cleaning day and on Sunday, I do bulk cooking. She is often my helper so it's a perfect time to focus on these skills with her.

Thanks for the tip. The same site has 40 e books on line for kids...the narrator reads the story aloud as the child changes pages. They are in Spanish and English. They are really cute, educational and fun! I would say from K-3. My 8 grands will enjoy them all. Thanks again, Ruthellen
