    Greetings!

Hello folks! Greetings from WV. I just discovered this site from an article on woodburning to save energy costs. We heated for free for a couple of months this year, and after the windstorm a few weeks ago knocked down 14 trees on our property, I hope to heat more freely next Winter. I have been browsing for a little while, and see some great tips for all areas of life. I haven't seen any other men around yet, but since women seem to have practical ideas more often than men do, this is not a problem for me.

Better go. Have to pick up my daugher's boyfriend to help me haul and stack some of the aforementioned firewood today. Thanks folks!!

     Jeff

    Welcome, Jeff!

My great-grandfather was from West Virginia, though I've never visited there myself. I hear it's beautiful there, though.

Jump in whenever you're ready, we're glad to have you here in our neck of the woods.

    Welcome Jeff!

I'm one of the men on here and don't feel out of place at all.  Everyone on here that I have encountered has made me feel very welcome and I consider so many of them friends across the miles.

We are all in the current economy situation and we Frugal/Money Savers absolutely need to band together, genders aside!

I hope that your hauling and stacking of wood goes well and look forward to your future postings.

     My best ~ Matt

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome! I agree with Matt that gender doesn't matter. All of us want to make our dollars go as far as they can. My grandmother told me that when she married my grandfather, a coal miner, that her grandmother told her "to squeeze each nickle until the eagle squalls!" I think we are getting back to those times again, and sharing this cool info in a community setting is just perfect!

    Thanks again, folks!

    Jeff

Hi Jeff ... and welcome - my granddad was born/raised in WV, his brother still lives there and my bio-father,  too. I have learned so much on this forum and things that I can use everyday.
