DH's union contract expires April 1 and everyone is very tense about negotiations

Please remember to share any updates.

I will.   I'm glad I had my severance deferred and that it's coming just before the expiration.

We only had about $720 in income for Feb, with fixed expenses at about $3300.  Luckily, we did our taxes and those came back, but some had to go to school.  I am trying to figure out more expenses to cut.

That is truly heart breaking, Tracy. I so very sorry.

I am hoping in March to get the three weeks of unemployment that are on hold for Feb, as well as the unemployment in place for dh.  We did get taxes back, it's not as bad as it seems, but that is one time money.

Hope a job comes through for one of us, we are looking and applying all the time.

I hope so Tracy. I am a believer in gritting one's teeth, setting in the best possible outlook and surviving but your situation is bad enough for me to be depressed for you! I am completely out of positive things to offer to help keep up the steam for handling it all.

Good news, the unemployment came through, and we are fine for the bills, plus bought a few things we wanted/needed.  We go out to dinner with the tax return, for the past few years, we used to buy a piece of furniture, but now just go out to dinner.  Also bought a few items of clothing this weekend.

I am looking more for work, I will be done with school in a few months, if I don't get into nursing school, I know I'll need a job very soon.  Have a resume a professional is helping me with this week.  So far this week two "thank you for applying" letters in the mail. I hope the new resume gets me at least a few interviews, and then a job!

Paid all the bills for March!  Looking into cheaper trash service. Ours is raising prices, sees like a good time to switch.  One new one burns trash to convert to electricity, instead of landfilling, I don't know which is better/worse for the environment.
