We have done tree shaped cookies and dyed white frosting green to frost the cookies after baked and cooled.

Saw something similiar to this I planned to try this year. Mix sugar cookie dough with green food coloring and cut with a tree-shaped cutter. Bake as usual. Once they're cool, dip both long edges in melted white chocolate chips (guess you could use almond bark, too) to "frost the branches." Cute and easy, so think I'll put aside a batch of sugar cookie dough for these, and a batch for candy cane cookies.

Re: Easy Santa Cookies

Cute. I got a Rudolph cake pan for free. I am going to try that with the grandkids. Maybe will do Santa cookies for the younger ones to help decorate.
