I'm Edey and I keep an eye on the Hobbies and Crafts forum. I just love reading about any kind of craft and the projects that you do. Sometimes I can help with a problem but if not I try to find that answer for you, so if you have a favorite hobby or craft, tell us about it. My interests are mostly needlework, but that isn't all there is.

I have a blog on Dollar Stretcher:Edey's Current and Vintage Needlework

If you have any ideas about needlework or crafts tell us about those too. I will try to post now. Deb, you are kind of one of my heroes. Your words have been a blessing to me, just reading them for the last few months. You never know who you are blessing, just by being you! I am not Jewish, but am a Christian in a different faith, and have gleaned alot from you about our Jewish friends. So nice to understand the Kosher 'rules' and things a little bit better. So, I am jumping in today! lol I love to talk about cheap food and cooking as well. My family members have huge appetites (at least my teens do) and we homeschool so like Brandy (I would imagine) they are here 24 hours a day, and I spend most of my time preparing and finding ways to do things frugally.
Re: Welcome Readers!

Dear Holly & Dear Lurkers & Dear New Members Who Have Not Been Responded to by me, I confess that I just about NEVER read the Introductions section, a lapse that I hope to rememdy. SO, I have not welcomed new members. Let me rectify that now, Holly, for you at any rate. I love to talk about cheap food & I love to pray for people. I spend most of my time in Daily General & in my Food Stamps sub-forum (respectively the date thread in teh General FOrum, & "Food Stamps" in the Frugal Foods Forum). If you want prayer, please either post in Open Mike/Isn't This Outstanding/Prayer Circle, or in Daily General. Thanks.

I feel like I know all of you, I have been reading the board for the past year or so, and I just love it. I am totally on board with frugal living. Let's see, my name is Holly, I live in mid-Michigan. I am married and we have three children 15, 13, and 9. I am also really shy. lol. So, I have been working myself up to posting on the daily stretcher general thread, since that seems to be the first place I go, when I get my coffee in the morning and I don't even post. I just wanted to say I appreciate everyone's posts so much. I have even read the archives!
Re: Welcome Readers!

brandy mother earth news magazine has some articals about lets say garden fixing the yard and other news stuff just go to the website I can't get the magazine here in washinton I am looking all over for it also livingfrugalmagazine.com

Welcome Readers!

We have more than 700 readers viewing the site right now and so many new people who have registered recentlt. That's great that you are here reading all the wonderful tips and lively discussions we have.

If you are still a reader who has not registered as a member, please register and join us in discussing frugal ideas, do it yourself projects and self-sufficient living. For those who have registered and asked a question or shared your thoughts, thank you for adding to our great community. We hope to see more of your ideas.

If you are not sure where to start, try posting something about yourself here in introductions so we know who you are. It doesn't have to be a well written full biography. A short paragraph about how you found the community, what your family size is and what your occupation or interests are and why you are frugal or wish to be works great.

Some people feel a bit overwhelmed by the discussions and don't know where to begin in them. When this community began, only a few of us knew each other from other boards and places. With each new poster, we all make a new friend and that person becomes a part of the community. I am confident that you too will find a home here on the web.

When you post an introduction, some of us find articles or discussions that may interest you to help you get started. This is why it's helpful to add a little about yourself so we can help you to find what you need.

You can start new discussions if you have specific questions or comments. We are usually quick to respond so you should soon get ideas to consider or the answers you were looking for.

So don't just read about dollar stretching, become a dollar stretcher today.
