I do our taxes but they are pretty straightforward. I use Turbotax and never had a problem with it, but now am wondering if I am missing something Tongue Tied I also do my kids' taxes with the same software.

Yes i've used Turbo tax since 1994. I don't trust others to handle my return.

Morning. We use H&R taxcut. We do ours and then my mil. We've never had any problem with it and they send us new copies of ir every year for free. Plus they automatically check for any updates that may have occurred between the time the cd was printed to when your using it.

DH does our taxes. He thoroughly enjoys the mental gymnastics and figuring out what's changed and what hasn't. Just watching him gives me a headache.

The JAG office on most military bases has a tax center open during tax season where military families can get their taxes done for free. They will also file state returns for whatever state residency you claim. They stand behind their work, too. That's what we have done for the last several years, and we have been happy with their work.

We do our own with Turbotax but my dad does help and give advice if needed. But this year, it may be more difficult with the sale of one house and purchase of another.

We will still try and do our own, though and use my dad for a resource.

I don't even attempt mine any more, they're too complicated. I have a tax accountant who handles it. I'm sure he's saved me way more than his fee.

When my taxes were a bit more complicated, I paid.  The last few years, I've used Tax Cut and have been happy with it.
