To me, Western Australia seems almost as far away from me, here in Queensland, as America! My son worked in W.A. for 3 months early last year and liked it but was homesick and came back to work in Brisbane. I was going to visit him but he was back before I got around to it! His twin brother went there for a scout jamboree in Perth in 1995 (red-eye flight) and loved it. Funnily enough, I've been to America (many moons ago before children came along) but not W.A. The deals always used to be cheaper to go overseas than to travel across the country.
I've been trying to reply to all those who've welcomed me but I think I must have missed a few somehow. Anyway, thanks also to all of you for encouraging me to join in. Loba
