I found a recipe for marmalade that does not call for pectin. Has anyone tried marmalade without pectin and how does that turn out?
I tried to make peach marmalade without pectin...I ended up using and giving it away as "peach ice cream topping" because it's so goopy.
I have made orange marmalade without pectin before. The fruit, (the recipe I used called for oranges and lemons) contains a lot of natural pectin so it came out fine. Set up well and had a great color.

The recipe I found called for grapefruit, lemons and oranges. I may try this out at some point. I settled for the pectin version.
