I glanced at his blog. Some surprising yearly totals for an average person.
My Daddy was a letter carrier for 42 years. When we moved him to town he had a box of pocket knives to rival airport security! All found on his routes and there is no telling how many he gave away.
For years I wore a necklace with a watch face that he had found. It was an expensive brand that he found in a puddle of water--still working!
I have his old mail pouch (attempting to restore it to some kind of suppleness) and the bottom of it was filled with necklace chains, bracelets, one of a pair earrings, and pennies.
I have asked him before and he said he has probably found hundreds of dollars over the years in change. Once he found a $20 bill that he carried in his pouch for 6 months waiting to hear if someone said something about losing it.
