one website that helps me with recipies for the items i get in the angel food packages is kraft.com. this month we got chicken breast and boxed macaroni and cheese. on the website i found a recipie for cheesy chicken and vegi mac-which uses both items.
there is also a recipie for beef stew in the slow cooker there as well-we got a beef roast this month. if i cut the roast up and add carrots, onions and potatoes from the vegi package i ordered, i'll be able to make this.
a lot of the recipies call for name brand items that kraft manufactures. i just substitute the kraft ingredients with the generic products from aldis or save a lot, and use what i have on hand from the angel food.
i usually spend about $81.00 a month on angel food packages and about $90.00 - $119.00 on other items (this includes items like toilet paper, shampoo, cat food, etc. and additional food items to make meals).
so my plan for the next few days.
sat- cheesy chicken and vegi mac, frozen carots.
sun-crockpot beef stew, cornbread.
