Yummy thanks moonblaze! Thanks to you alnd everyone else, I now have MANY wasy to cook this cabbage!
My Mom had this one that she gave to me if anyone is interested....
BEEF-STUFFED CABBAGE ROLLS
1 pound ground beef Sauce:
1/3 cup uncooked regular rice 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 egg, beaten 2 tbs. butter or margarine,
1/2 tsp. salt melted
1/8 tsp. salt 1 10 3/4 oz. can tomato soup undiluted
6 large cabbage leaves 1 1/4 cups water
1/2 cup chopped celery
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
Combine ground beef, rice, egg, salt and pepper; blend well.
Cook cabbage leaves in boiling salted water for 5 to 8 minutes until just tender; drain. Place equal portions of meat mixture in center of each cabbage leaf;
fold ends over, and fasten with wooden picks.
Sauté onion in butter in a large skillet until tender but not brown. Add tomato soup and remaining ingredients; stir well.
Place cabbages rolls in tomato mixture, cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours
Yields 6 servings.
