I got down my shoebox full of metal cookie cutters that haven't been used in years, and I guess I didn't wash them the last time I used them because they were grimy looking. I really wasn't looking forward to brushing out every little knook and cranny on them, I'm not that fond of washing dishes. So I boiled them in a pot of soapy water and now they are spotless! Now all I have to do is rinse them and let them dry. I couldn't have gotten them that clean if I had done them by hand. And the boiling water sanitized them to boot. I'm patting myself on the back here, saving myself a bunch of time.
