It's snowing in south Louisiana!!  My youngest dd saw her first ever snow this morning, and she is 12.  It has not snowed this much here in 30 years!! I kept looking out the window, I could hardly believe it!  They had snowball fights and built a good sized snowman.  We were almost late for school.  I know to all my good friends from up North, this might not seem like a big deal.  But here it is almost a miracle!!  My girls have wanted to see this their whole lives and this morning that wish came true!!  Merry Christmas to all. Hope everybody has a very blessed day.

 That's cool! I live "up north" and I still get a thrill when we get a good snow.

 We noticed the snow this morning ourselves.The kids had fun for a very short time then it got too wet and they had to come in. All that is left is the big snoball they made. It's taking awhile to melt.

My SIl lived in Ca most of her life she came down the hall to the kitchen today and said it snowing again .. she 86 and thrilled by snow .

I'm in Baton Rouge and I was super excited about the snow, as you can imagine! I haven't seen snow on the ground since 1988 (or '87?). They were closing bridges, roads, schools, and government offices, all for 2 inches of snow! My boyfriend is from NYC and was just shaking his head at the reactions. It was so beautiful and unexpected! On my way home from work I saw a snowman in every yard.

That's funny. My daughter lives in Washingtonand she says that when they get an inch, everything closes.. She was raised in Colorado and Wyoming, where snow is common. While I laugh at it, I know that if you're not prepared or have never driven in it, it can be a real problem. 

its fun to have snow just enough where is it a thrill!  only happens a few times a year here so it is fun for them.    can always drive up to the ski areas if they are desparate for it.

I have lived up north all of my life. I can imagine it would be a thrill for your dd. I love snow if I don't have to go out in it. Merry Christmas to you too!
