How is the great pumpkin doing?

How are the pumpkins doing?

I have about 20 that are completely orange already! Only 4 left that need to ripen more. This is strange. It's the first time pumpkins have ripened this early in the season! Is this a sign of an early winter???? My garden looks done already!

I've noticed pumpkins ripening around here already, too. That's kind of scary, with the heating fuel costs so much higher. My garden's almost done, too. It's getting too cool at night here for things to do much.
