    Lynnea Berr:

Not much to say about turkeys, but I recall reading somewhere (probably a price book thread) that pumpkin is also cheapest around Thanksgiving?  This seemed a good place to refresh our memories.

Fresh pumpkin is usually cheaper right now, when the new crops are coming in. Canned pumpkin prices are lower in a couple of weeks when the factories have time to process the crops. Fresh pumpkin is much, much cheaper than canned and easy to process and freeze or can at home.
