Hi there everyone---I am new to this list so please bear with me.

I am 69, a widow of 6 years, from California moved to Pa almost 3 years ago.

On a fixed income, I am really interested in cooking for 1 or 2, I like "remains"

as my Dad always called leftovers.  Will go now and try to catch the drift here so I can contribute a little more usefully.

Welcome, sisjean.  I'm also fairly new here.  I've been cooking for either one or two for years, but a lot of times, I just fix a big pot of something, eat on it all weekend, and/or freeze the leftovers.  Just recently, I ran across a chocolate cake recipe-- for one!  :-)  Also, somewhere I have a cake recipe where you use a loaf pan instead of a typical cake pan.  Baking seems to be the hardest to size-down.

I am in central Pa, Yeagertown,--Lewistown is a street sign away. LOL  Am enjoying it here--- The trees are just beautiful!

Am cooking in a crockpot a lot and freezing stuff for my meals.  Hoping to save a little money that way.
