    Homeschool kids can't play sports--huh?

I was just thinking about a conversation I had with someone at work awhile back. when I mentioned I homeschool he said one thing he doesn't like about homeschool is that they can't play sports. I said really, my daughter swims at the Y twice a week and is getting ready to go  into her 3rd season of soccer. She thought about playing softball this summer but decided against it. He didn't have much to say after that.

We have lots of local leagues not affiliated with schools. I believe if she wanted to play on a school team she could. but we have lots of opportunities in the community. I realize alot of rural areas wouldn't have these opportunities.

What sports opportunities do you have where you live? Do your kids play sports?

Rural areas do lack in options for these things.

My kids do not play sports even though it is more accessible since we moved. They all study martial arts though.

We  homeschool and all of our kids have been able to play sports . In fact my youngest is on a baseball team where he will be playing year round . This person sounds like they were just trying to find an argument against homeschool .
